Trojans Collect 16 Academic All-MSFA Honors

FINDLAY, Ohio – The Mid-States Football Association announced its 2015 All-Academic Team on Wednesday, with Taylor ranking third in the 13-team league and first among all Mideast League institutions with 16 student-athletes on the list of 144 receiving recognition.
In order to be eligible to be named to the MSFA All-Academic Team, the student-athlete must possess a minimum grade-point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale and have reached junior academic status at their current institution.
Taylor was represented on the MSFA All-Academic Team by Andrew Sheard, Caleb Nicley, Wilson Alexander, Tyler Mills, Hans Lundberg, John Beeghly, Dustin Wanner, Jake Venable, Brandon Haan, Wynn Coggin, Zach Hershberger, Taylor Beam, Chris Chang, Nathaniel Ryan, Shawn Lashbrook and Blake Wheeler.
The Trojans have received plenty of postseason accolades, including receiving the NAIA Champions of Character Team Award, leading the NAIA with four CoSIDA Academic All-Americans and eight CoSIDA Academic All-District nods. TU also ranked third in the NAIA with 12 Scholar-Athletes.
