SYLVANIA, Ohio – Emmit Wintek netted five more goals on Saturday in a 19-10 loss at No. 9 Lourdes, pushing his season total to 41 and surpassing Tyler Gerig as the program's single-season record holder for most goals.
Wintek also moved to within two scores of matching Grant Gerig as the program's all-time leader in career goals and finished the contest with five goals and one assist to highlight TU's attack in the loss.
Carter Prieditis was production once again as well, posting two goals and two assists in the game.
There were not many bright spots for the Trojans however, as Lourdes (6-4, 3-3 WHAC) dominated the opening half and took an 11-2 lead to the break. TU was outshot 31-7 in the opening 30 minutes and finished the game down 54-24 in shots and 26-6 in faceoffs.
The loss brings an end to Taylor's (5-9, 0-5 WHAC) regular season. The Trojans will wait to see who their opponent will be in the opening round of the WHAC Tournament, set for Wednesday, April 21.
