AVON, Ohio Taylor senior Maddie Thomas has been named the Crossroads League Golfer of the Week following a victory at the Purgatory Intercollegiate last weekend.

Thomas tallied a 3-over par 75 amid cold temperatures and blustery winds to earn a come-from-behind victory at the Purgatory Intercollegiate. The senior from Westlake, Ohio played her final 11 holes at 1-under par to edge Wayland Baptist's Chante Van Zyl by a shot.

The win marked the sixth of Thomas' career and lifted the No. 5 Trojans to a convincing 18-shot victory over runner-up #RV Wayland Baptist.

Thomas led the field with 23 pars and added three birdies during the 36-hole event.

This is the third career Crossroads League Golfer of the Week honor for Thomas.
