AVON, Ohio – The Taylor women's golf team earned several All-Crossroads League honors, the Crossroads League office announced this week.
Taylor senior Nicole Jung was named the Crossroads League Player of the Year for the second time during her career. Jung was dominant during the 2020-2021 season, collecting four tournament victories and leading the Crossroads League with a 76.21 scoring average for the season.
Joining Jung on the All-Crossroads League team were three other Trojans. Maddie Thomas, Taylor French, and Annie Stimmel all earned All-League honors for their stellar play this season.
Thomas became the first student-athlete in Taylor women's golf history to become a four-time All-Crossroads League honoree. The Westlake, Ohio native enjoyed a great senior season, posting a 77.20 scoring average in 30 rounds while notching one victory and seven top-5 finishes.
French earned All-Crossroads League honors for the third time in her career. The O'Fallon, Missouri native saved her best for last, posting a dominant 7-shot victory in the 2021 Crossroads League Championship to collect her first victory of the season. French posted a 77.87 scoring average in 30 rounds and posted a total of eight top-5 finishes.
Stimmel was named All-Crossroads League for the second time in career after notching a 79.83 scoring average in 30 rounds. Stimmel managed six top-10 finishes, including a seventh place finish at the Crossroads League Championship.
Senior Rachel Coers also earned the nod as All-Crossroads League honorable mention following a strong senior campaign capped by a runner-up finish at the Crossroads League Championship.
Additionally, Taylor coach Cameron Andry was named the Crossroads League Coach of the Year for the fourth consecutive season.
Taylor will close out the 2020-2021 campaign at the NAIA National Championship next week in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
