Fahy Named AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Taylor volleyball senior Julia Fahy was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Midwest Region team, announced recently by the AVCA.

Fahy, a senior setter from Davenport, Iowa, notched 825 assists along with 246 digs and 73 kills for the Trojans in 2015 to earn All-Midwest Region Honorable Mention accolades. A first team All-Crossroads League selection and NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 2015, Fahy finished her Taylor career with 3,182 assists and 1,058 digs.

Fahy was one of just two Crossroads League setters to receive recognition on the all-region team, joining Bethel's Sami Leach as an honoree. This marks the second straight season in which Fahy has earned AVCA all-region honors after earning first-team all-region honors last season. AVCA awards are voted on by member coaches.
