Ross Receives Nod as NAIA Second-Team All-American
KANSAS CITY – The Taylor baseball program continued to rack in the awards after a memorable season, with Jack Ross being named an NAIA Second-Team All-American.
The honor for Ross was the 13th All-American award for Taylor baseball in the past 15 seasons. Ross became the third Trojan to be named to either the First or Second Team in program history, following TJ Bass and Matt Patton in 2023 and 2018, respectively.
Ross had an incredible junior season on the mound for the Trojans, leading the team in several categories, including wins, saves, and earned-run average. The West Lafayette, Indiana native made 27 appearances out of the bullpen for Taylor, earning seven wins and eight saves while accumulating a 3.08 ERA. Ross struck out 55 batters in 52.2 innings on the bump and only issued 22 walks.
Ross was 13th in the NAIA in saves and earned the victory in the Trojans' first game at the NAIA World Series with three innings of one-run ball. Ross finished the season without a loss for a 7-0 record and earned First-Team All-Crossroads League for the first time in his career.
The effort of Ross helped No. 19 Taylor to a 42-17 record, a CL Regular Season Championship, NAIA National Tournament Opening Round Championship, and the program's second-ever appearance at the NAIA World Series, in which Taylor won two games.
