Honors

The Trojans have started picking up awards and honors for the 2025-2026 year. TU has already garnered 64 Crossroads League, WHAC and MSFA Player-of-the-Week awards, six NAIA National Athlete-of-the-Week honors, 31 NAIA All-American honors, 127 all-league awards, two individual NAIA National Championships, seven individual Crossroads League Championships, two league players of the year, one CL Freshman of the Year, three CL Newcomers of the Year, one National Athlete of the Year, 180 NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards, 88 Academic All-League nods, 61 CSC Academic All-District selections and 16 CSC Academic All-Americans and one CSC NAIA Academic All-American of the Year.

TU has claimed three team championships, with its women's cross country team taking a 13th-straight Crossroads League Championship, competitive cheer claiming its first-ever Crossroads League Championship and baseball securing a fourth-straight regular season CL Championship and winning a league title (regular season or tourney) for a fifth-straight year. Baseball also went on to claim the CL Tournament Championships for a third-straight year.

Taylor took home its third-ever team NAIA National Championship, with women's cross country claiming the red banner for the second time in four years. The TU men's and women's cross country program also combined to with the NAIA Combined National Championship for a second time with the men's fifth-place finish. TU baseball made a historic run as well, finishing as the National Runner-Up.

Taylor's teams have also had some early success against Top-25 foes, with the volleyball program taking down No. 11 Montana Western,  No. 13 Mount Vernon Nazarene, No. 19 Missouri Baptist, No. 23 Spring Arbor and RV Grace, and football defeating RV Saint Francis (IL). Women's soccer also got in on the action, taking down No. 11 Central Methodist, No. 11 Aquinas and No. 18 Campbellsville, while drawing with No. 3 Marian and No. 16 Grace and the men's soccer team played to draws with No. 7 Bethel. No. 19 Marian and No. 20 Grace. Women's basketball joined the fun with a wins over No. 13 Indiana Wesleyan, No. 22 Indiana Tech, RV Huntington and RV Olivet Nazarene, while men's basketball took out No. 1 Indiana Wesleyan, No. 11 Bethel and RV Huntington, men's lacrosse took down No. 4 Webber International, baseball defeated No. 4 Lewis Clark State, No. 10 Doane, No. 15 Arizona Christian, No. 18 Mid-America Christian, No. 19 William Carey, No. 22 Huntington, No. 23 Marian, swept a doubleheader at No. 24 Huntington, topped No. 24 Marian three times, swept a four-game series at RV Saint Thomas and defeated RV Indiana Tech twice and softball took two wins from No. 7 Marian and one from No. 20 Marian and RV Indiana Wesleyan.

Taylor has also logged some memorable achievements already, with men's soccer matching its best six-game start (5-1-0) since 2012 and women's soccer matching its best-ever start at 9-0 with six shutout wins, climbing to No. 14 in the NAIA Top-25 for its highest rank in program history, tying a program record with 14 wins and setting a program record with 12 shutouts, before advancing to the NAIA National Championships Quarterfinals with a Second Round win for the first time ever. The men's cross country program posted its fastest 8k time in program history and the football team broke its single-game record for total offensive yards at Judson (641) and again at Lawrence Tech (651), while logging back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2009 and 2010 and posting the second-highest two-year win total (16) in program history. Football also rebroke its single-season record for yards and points scored. Women's basketball posted its best start (14-0) and longest win streak (14) since 2019-2020 and men's basketball posted its longest win streak (12) since winning 20-straight in 1993-1994 and added its best start (16-3) since 2005-2006. The men's lacrosse team earned its first-ever Top-10 ranking and defeated a nationally-ranked opponent for the first time in program history, while the TU cheer team posted the first, second, fourth, eighth and ninth-best team scores in program history. Taylor baseball also got off to a 11-0 start for the first time in program history, reached its best 30-game start (27-3) and reached its highest national rank (No. 1) in program history. Baseball also matched its longest win streak (24), reached its highest regular season (45) and overall (56) wins total in program history, won the most CL games (33) in program history and won the NAIA Opening Round Championship for the second time in school history. Men's lacrosse also made history by winning the most games in program history (10), hosting a postseason game for the first time in program history and advancing to the WHAC Tournament Semifinals for the first time ever.

The TU coaches have also earned recognition, with Quinn White being named the Crossroads League Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year for a 13th-straight time, the USTFCCCA NAIA Great Lakes Region Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year for a sixth time, the USTFCCCA NAIA Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year, and the NAIA National Coach of the Year for a third time overall. Aaron Mingo was also named the MSFA Mideast League Coach of the Year for a second-straight season and Kyle Gould was tabbed the Crossroads League Baseball Coach of the Year for a ninth time, while also being recognized as well as the NAIA Regional Coach of the Year. Justin Barber was recognized as the ABCA NAIA National Assistant Coach of the Year for his work in the Trojan dugout.

TU also has had 14 teams ranked or receiving votes in a NAIA Poll, with women's cross country, men's cross country, volleyball, women's soccer, men's golf, women's golf, men's basketball, men's indoor track, women's indoor track, competitive cheer, men's lacrosse and baseball earning Top-25 rankings, and with football and women's basketball receiving votes.

Taylor has had 17 teams get a taste of postseason play, with men's and women's cross country, women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, competitive cheer, men's indoor track and women's indoor track, women's tennis, baseball, softball men's and women's golf, men's lacrosse and men's and women's outdoor track and field all competing in a league championship event. One team has hosted a league postseason event, with volleyball hosting the CL Tournament Quarterfinals. 

12 teams have advanced to compete at the NAIA Nationals, with men's and women's cross country, women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's indoor track, women's basketball, men's basketball, competitive cheer, men's and women's outdoor track and baseball all qualifying. Of those teams, three were selected to host at least one round in the NAIA National Championships, with volleyball and baseball hosting the Opening Round and women's soccer hosting the Second Round. Women's cross country won its second NAIA National Championship in four years, with men's cross country taking fifth, competitive cheer taking 11th and women's soccer advancing to the NAIA Championships Quarterfinals for the first time in program history. Men's indoor track finished 15th, men's outdoor track ended 16th, women's indoor track finished 26th, women's outdoor track came in 33rd and baseball finished as the National Runner-Up.

Those team performances on the national stage helped Taylor secure its best-ever finish in the Learfield NAIA Director's Cup Standings, ending in 14th place for the 2025-2026 year. The 14th-place finish was TU's ninth Top-25 showing since 1996 and its sixth in the past eight years.
