Parker Garners Second-Straight MSFA Weekly Honor
UPLAND, Ind. – The Mid-States Football Association named Nathan Parker as the MSFA Mideast League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, marking a second-straight weekly honor for the sophomore running back.
Parker provided much of the offense for RV Taylor in its 42-35 win over Kentucky Christian on Saturday, setting career-highs with 28 carries, 246 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. Parker averaged 8.8 yards per touch and ripped off eight runs of at least 10 yards, including bursts of 52, 28 and 23.
Parker continues to rank among the best in the NAIA through three games of the 2025 season. The Silver Lake, Indiana native currently ranks No. 2 in the NAIA with 439 rushing yards, eight rushing touchdowns and 48 total points, while ranking No. 5 in the NAIA with 146.3 rushing yards per game and 16.0 points per contest.
The MSFA weekly award is the second for Parker in his career, with both coming in the past two weeks. The honor gives the Trojans a total of three weekly awards from the MSFA already this fall.
Parker joined Eliza Luttrell (women's soccer) and Ellie Frey (volleyball) in earning weekly recognition from a league on Monday, giving Taylor Athletics a total of 11 Crossroads League and MSFA Player-of-the-Week awards this fall.
Parker and RV Taylor (2-1) will have a bye week, before returning to action at Judson on September 27.
