UPLAND, Ind. - Taylor closes the non-league portion of its 2025 schedule on Saturday, October 11, when it takes on No. 12 Marian. Start time is set for 7:00 pm inside Turner Stadium.
SCOUTING #RV TAYLOR: The Trojans are perfect this season when holding their opposition below 40 points and are 11-1 when doing so over the past two seasons. In its three wins this year, TU has allowed 23.3 points per game, compared to 48.5 points per game in its two defeats.
SCOUTING #12 MARIAN: The Knights are unbeaten against NAIA foes this season, averaging 53.5 points per game in those four wins. Over Marian's last three outings, MU has averaged 59.7 points and has scored at least 52 points in each of those contests.
LAST MEETING: Taylor set a new program record with 459 rushing yards in a 35-34 overtime loss to Marian last season. The Trojans and Knights traded punches throughout, with a failed two-point conversion in overtime handing MU the thrilling win.
SERIES HISTORY: Taylor is 1-17 all-time against Marian on the gridiron, and 0-4 against the Knights under the direction of fifth-year head coach Aaron Mingo.
LAST TIME OUT: A trio of costly TU turnovers led directly to 21 points for Saint Francis and proved to be the difference in a 49-35 USF win over Taylor one week ago. Nathan Parker rushed for 132 yards and two scores, while Luke Etchison caught five passes for 82 yards and one touchdown. Thad Thoman paced the defense with one sack and three pressures.
TROJANS IN THE RANKINGS: A few Trojans are near the top of the NAIA in key statistics so far this season. Nathan Parker headlines that list at No. 3 with 14.4 points per game, 138.6 rushing yards per game and 12 rushing touchdowns. Also among national leaders are Devin Stupples at No. 9 with 29.5 yards per kickoff return, Reese Pinckney at No. 10 with six pass breakups and Caleb Ranzau at No. 11 with 4.5 sacks.
TAYLOR RECEIVING VOTES: TU received 10 votes in the latest NAIA Top-25 Poll, maintaining the Trojans in the receiving votes portion of the rankings. Taylor's 10 points were the 32nd-highest total in the NAIA.
