INDIANAPOLIS – The Crossroads League announced its 2015-2016 Men's Basketball All-Crossroads League Team on Monday, with Taylor's, Kyle Stidom earning Second-Team honors and Evan Crowe being named to the All-Newcomer Team.
Stidom earned his third All-Crossroads League award in three seasons with the Trojans, with his first Second-Team All-Crossroads League nod. Stidom boosted those numbers to 19.5 points per game on 54.5 percent shooting in 18 league contests.
Stidom finished the regular season ranked second in the league in scoring and free throw percentage, fourth in field goal percentage and 10th in rebounds per game, joining Bethel's Clay Yeo as the only two players to rank among the top-10 league players in all four statistical categories. Other regular season highlights for the athletic senior guard including 16 games of at least 20 points, ranking 14th in the NAIA in free throw percentage and becoming the 18th player to score 1,500 points in a Taylor uniform.
Stidom also broke a pair of records during the 2015-2016 season, becoming the program's all-time leader in makes from the charity stripe in a career and for making the most free throws in a single game without a miss.
Crowe was one of six players to be named to the Crossroads League All-Newcomer Team after starting in 21 games and playing in 28 for Taylor during the regular season. Crowe averaged 10.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 41.3 percent from beyond the arc with 2.3 makes per outing. The sharp-shooting freshman led TU in makes from the perimeter, ranked fourth in the league and connected on at least one triple in 27-of-28 games, while dialing it up for at least two makes from beyond the arc in 20 games.
