Hubbard Claims Back-to-Back CL Player-of-the-Week Awards

JACKSON, Mich. – Jason Hubbard was tabbed CL Player of the Week for the second consecutive week in the Crossroads League weekly announcements Monday afternoon.

The award for the senior is the second of the season and the fourth in his career at Taylor. Hubbard is the first TU men's basketball player to earn the honors in consecutive weeks since Evan Crowe nabbed the award twice in November 2016.

Hubbard poured in a career-high 55 points against Northwestern Ohio (4-8) on Friday in an impressive display. The forward splashed in 20 field goals, which included two three-pointers, and made all 13 of his attempts from the charity stripe for TU.

The Miamisburg, Ohio native now paces the CL in points per game, with 23.8, and ranks third in rebounds per contest with 9.2. Hubbard also ranks third in blocks per contest with 2.2.

After Hubbard's latest honors, TU Athletics has claimed 32 Player-of-the-Week awards in 2022-2023, while the honor marks the second for the Taylor men's basketball program this season.

Taylor (6-6, 2-3 CL) steps on the court again on Tuesday, December 20th, against SAGU American Indian College (3-6) on the road in Arizona, with a late tip-off set for 9:00 pm.
