KANSAS CITY – Taylor freshman Alec Dutkowski has been named an NAIA All-American, the NAIA office announced today.
A native of Wakarusa, Indiana, Dutkowski led the Trojans with a 74.9 scoring average in 28 rounds of competition. He recorded nine top-10 finishes in 13 events, including a third place finish at the Crossroads League Championships. Dutkowski is the first TU NAIA All-American since Terry Schaumleffel earned the distinction in 1979 and just the third All-American (Don Faimon, Terry Schaumleffel) in program history.
Dutkowski was one of just six freshmen to receive All-American honors after being named to the third team. Marian senior Vince Drahman and Mount Vernon Nazarene senior Charlie Phillips were the only other Crossroads League selections.
