KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Taylor standout Javan Johnson has been named an NAIA All-American, the NAIA announced this week.
Johnson earned a spot on the NAIA All-American second team after leading the Trojans with a 73.33 scoring average in 33 competitive rounds during the 2020-2021 campaign. Johnson earned All-Crossroads League honors while collecting a pair of victories (Battle at the Henge and Garn Championship) to go along with 11 top-10 finishes.
Johnson capped his stellar redshirt sophomore season by earning a spot on the NAIA National Championship All-Tournament team with a tie for seventh place at the NAIA National Championship at TPC Deere Run. The Franklin, Indiana native finished the season ranked No. 14 in the NAIA GolfStat National Rankings and also earned a spot on the GCAA All-North Region team.
