Trio of Trojans Earn GCAA All-Region Recognition

NORMAN, Okla. – The Taylor men's golf team was well represented on the NAIA North All-Region team, with a trio of Trojans receiving the recognition. Javan Johnson, Noah Ross, and Adam Kasitz were each named to the NAIA PING All-Region team, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced last week. This marks the sixth consecutive season a TU men's golfer has earned All-Region honors.
Johnson earns All-Region honors for the second straight season after posting a 73.91 scoring average in 33 competitive rounds. Johnson collected seven top-3 finishes in 14 events and tallied 12 rounds of par or better while earning All-Crossroads League honors.
Ross was named to the All-Region team after tallying a 73.97 scoring average over 34 rounds. A junior from Upland, Indiana, Ross posted eight top-10 finishes in 14 events and managed 11 rounds of par or better en route to All-Crossroads League recognition.
Joining Johnson and Ross on the All-Region team was Kasitz. A sophomore from Wichita, Kansas, Kasitz tallied a 75.65 scoring average in 34 rounds and managed six top-10 finishes in 13 events. Kasitz earned All-Crossroads League honors during his sophomore campaign and posted six rounds of par or better.
Taylor led the Crossroads League with three players included on the GCAA All-Region team.
