TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Matt Hall crossed the line in sixth as the top NAIA performer in Friday's 19-team Indiana Intercollegiate Little State Championships, helping TU secure the top team finish of any NAIA school.
"We showed our tremendous depth today, placing fourth as the top NAIA team at the meet," stated TU head coach Lance Vanderberg. "We should continue to see a variety of runners score for us throughout the season, which is a big positive for us. Overall, we took a good step forward today."
The Trojans turned in a team time of 138:37 on the grinding course, ending fourth overall with 144 points. NCAA Division III Wabash took the team crown with 44 points, ahead of NCAA Division II schools, Southern Indiana (45) and Indianapolis (78) in the standings.
Hall ran a time of 26:22.5 to finish sixth overall out of 150 competitors and earned All-Indiana Little State honors for the first time.
