Taylor Men Finish Fourth in Bullock Invite
UPLAND, Ind. – The No. 2 Taylor men's cross country team competed on its home course in the Ray Bullock Invite on Friday evening.
Taylor finished in fourth place with a score of 74 points. NCAA Division II Cedarville took first with 43 points, Cornerstone (71) claimed second and Indiana Wesleyan (71) notched third.
The TU men ran a team time of 2:10:50. Three Trojans finished in the top-15 and five finished in the top-25.
Derek Van Prooyen took fourth place overall, crossing the finish with a time of 25:39.9. Alex Helmuth was close behind in sixth place, logging a time of 25:46.7.
Luke Rovenstine secured 15th-place overall with a mark of 26:14.9. Freshman Quinn Rudy notched 24th place in 26:34.1, setting a new personal-best. Sam Hardy completed TU's scoring-five, claiming 25th place in 26:35.6.
Joshua Harden and Connor White finished next for TU. Harden clocked a time of 27:19.8 and finished in 43rd place. White recorded a time of 27:20.0, placing 44th overall.
The No. 2 Trojans (27-3) will return to the course on October 3 in Louisville, Kentucky for the Louisville Cross Country Classic.
