Three Trojans Earn All-Crossroads League Honors

AVON, Ohio – The top-ranked Taylor men's cross country team (55-5) placed three student-athletes on the All-Crossroads League Team following the 2020 Crossroads League Championships on Friday afternoon.
The No. 1 Trojans claimed second place as a team at the Crossroads League Championships, placing three Trojans in the top-15 finishers. Daniel Gerber, Luke Rovenstine and Alex Helmuth were the top finishers for TU and earned All-CL honors.
Gerber led the Purple and Gold, finishing in second place overall with a time of 25:09.8. Rovenstine and Helmuth finished stride-for-stride, claiming fourth and fifth place respectively. Rovenstine ended with a time of 25:28.9. Helmuth logged a mark of 25:29.1
The All-Crossroads League honors were the first for Rovenstine and the second for Helmuth, with Gerber collecting the award for the third time.
The No. 1 Trojans will now wait to see if they receive an at-large bid to the NAIA Cross Country National Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on April 9.
