Taylor Men Claim No. 23 Spot in Latest Rankings
NAIA Release
UPLAND, Ind. – The third in-season NAIA Top-25 Poll was released on Thursday, in which the Taylor (45-21) men's cross-country squad ranked 23rd, dropping one spot from last week's poll.
Taylor has been bolstered this season by a young duo of Nathan Burns and Luke Harber, who have finished as the top two Trojans in all three races. Burns set the course record at Taylor's XC Farm with a time of 25:02.9 in the Ray Bullock Invitational. Harber has been consistent, with a time difference of only five seconds between his best and worst times this year.
Columbia, Missouri native Ben Eiffert has been the third or fourth Trojan to cross the finish line in each race, while junior Zach McKowen has also been in the top five in each race this season.
The Trojans' next race comes on Saturday, October 21, at the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic in Omaha, Nebraska, which is set to begin at 9:00 am.
