KANSAS CITY – Nathan Burns earned NAIA All-American honors with a 32nd-place finish at the NAIA National Championships in Vancouver, Washington. The fantastic freshman led the Trojans to a ninth-place finish, which was the third top-ten finish in program history.
All-American status is awarded to any individual who finishes within the top 40 overall runners at the national championship meet.
Taylor has picked up 32 NAIA All-Americans in program history, with twelve coming in the past five seasons.
Burns was terrific all season, pacing Taylor in all but one race, and continued his brilliance on the brightest stage. The Mooresville, Indiana native finished with a time of 25:31.8 and was one of only three runners in the Crossroads League to earn All-American status.
