Taylor Notches Second-Place Finish in Highly-Competitive Season Opener
MARION, Ind. – The Trojans carded a second-place finish to open the 2025 campaign against a field which included six ranked squads and two receiving votes at the IWU Twilight Invite.
Ryan Hanak and Luke Harber paced the Trojans with top-10 finishes on Friday night. Hanak and Harber finished back-to-back in seventh and eighth with times of 24:50.8 and 24:51.4.
Joel Mumaw finished in a personal-best time of 25:04.6 to cross the finish line in 11th. Namesakes, Nathan Burns and Nathan Meister capped the top five for the Trojans crossing in 27th and 28th as Meister collected his personal bet time of 25:28.2.
Three more Trojans clocked personal bests as Ethan Morgan, Zach McWatters, and Hunter Smith all had the fastest times of their collegiate careers on Friday.
No. 3 Taylor (18-1) continues its season in Florida at the Florida State Cross Country Open on Friday September 26, with a start time TBA.
