Harber and Hanak Notch One-Two Finish at Ray Bullock Invite
UPLAND, Ind. – Luke Harber and Ryan Hanak crossed the finish line in first and second on Friday evening at the Ray Bullock Invite as the Trojans placed second.
The senior duo stayed near the front the entire race before breaking away late to ensure the 1-2 finish, crossing the line just after the 25-minute mark. Nathan Burns joined them in the top ten with a ninth-place finish with a time of 25:25.2.
Rounding out the top five were Alex Ortiz and Jordan Burden in 13th and 14th to take TU's point total to 39, seven behind No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan and a whopping 148 ahead of No. 6 Marian.
Taylor had eight runners in the top twenty, with Zach McWatters, Joel Mumaw, and Ethan Morgan joining the five mentioned above on Friday.
Sophomore Andrew Bryant was the lone Trojan to card a personal best with a time of 27:54.6, over 30 seconds better than his top time, set during his freshman year.
No. 5 Taylor (53-9) caps the regular season at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday, October 25, beginning at 10:00 am.
