2016 – 2017 at Taylor: Played in 18 games, starting once for the Trojans as a freshman…Converted 18-of-35 shots (51.4 percent) on the year, including 6-of-16 (37.5 percent) from behind the three-point line…Knocked down 12-of-15 at the free throw line, good for an 80-percent clip…Collected 23 rebounds and six steals on the season…Notched five points in her collegiate debut against Marygrove (11/9)…Tallied a career-high 10 points at Southeastern (11/14), hitting both of her shots from the floor and five-of-six from the charity stripe…Recorded a career-best five rebounds against Holy Cross in the Taylor Christmas Classic (12/30).

Prep: Buchs is from Angola, Indiana and attended Angola High…Lettered all four years…Was named All-Northeast Corner Conference and KPC Media All-Area performer for girls basketball…For tennis, earned IHSTCA all-district doubles team recognition, IHSTCA All-Indiana doubles honorable mention, KPC All-Area honors and KPC All-Area Co-Prep of the Year…Played club basketball with Spiece Gym Rats…ICGSA Academic All-Indiana honorable mention, IBCA Academic All-Indiana First Team and IHSTCA Academic All-Indiana performer…Finished high school in top 10 percent of her class in grade-point average.
