Nine Trojans Honored as NAIA Scholar Athletes

KANSAS CITY –The Taylor women's basketball team added an academic achievement to its collection of athletic achievements thus far in 2023, as nine Trojans received Daktronics NAIA Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete awards on Thursday, March 9.

Ariel Dale, Ava Henson, Claycee West, Gretchen Moll, Haley Harrison, Jillian Osswald, Kendall Wayne, Maycee Woods, and Taylor Westgate were among 873 women's basketball student-athletes from around the country honored for their achievements in the classroom.

To be eligible for an NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale while having attended one full year at their current institution.
