NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The undefeated Taylor University women's basketball team (12-0, 4-0 CL) continues to receive votes in the NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released by the national office on Wednesday.
TU garnered 38 points in the latest poll – an increase of 21 points for the Trojans after going 4-0 on the court since the previous poll was distributed on November 26.
The Trojans are riding the program's best start since the 2019-20 season, including the first undefeated start in league play in the same time span.
After posting its 12th consecutive victory yesterday, TU is ranked 13th in the NAIA in points per game (84.8), first in blocks per game (5.7) and tied for 13th in defensive rebounding (31.3).
The Trojans also rank 24th in team field-goal percentage (44.8) and free-throw percentage (75.4), and 25th in rebounding margin (8.5) and net efficiency (0.241).
Kaycie Warfel (27.8 PPG, 3.6 SPG) continues to lead the NAIA in scoring as the freshman standout earned her fifth CL Player of the Week recognition last week, along with teammate Celina Blount (10.9 PPG, 9.4 RPG, 3.3 BPG), who collected her fourth, with the duo sweeping the league awards for the third time this season.
TU is one of five Crossroads League teams appearing in the poll including No. 5 Marian, No. 7 Saint Francis, No. 20 Huntington and RV Indiana Wesleyan.
TU returns to action Thursday night at Arizona Christian (3-7) with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. ET in Glendale, Arizona.
