Five Trojans Named Daktronics-NAIA Volleyball Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced last week its list of 2015 Daktronics NAIA women's volleyball scholar-athletes, with Taylor's Jessi Arbuckle, Julia Fahy, Olivia Griffith, Alex Reel, and Kayla Springer each earning the distinction.
In order to be eligible to be named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status at their current institution.
Taylor's five NAIA Scholar-Athletes tied Grace for the most among Crossroads League institutions while Kansas Wesleyan led the nation with ten NAIA Scholar-Athletes. In all, 428 volleyball student-athletes earned the distinction nation wide.
Taylor finished third in the Crossroads League regular season standings in 2015 and claimed an overall record of 15-15.
