NAIA Volleyball Top 25
UPLAND, Ind. – Taylor continued inching up in the NAIA Top-25 Poll, moving up another spot to No. 20 in the latest edition released Wednesday morning.
Taylor had one of its most impressive wins of the season this past weekend, taking down No. 13 Mount Vernon Nazarene (17-6, 8-3 CL) in a five-set thriller, after sweeping Goshen in the midweek match.
McKaylah Flagle was terrific for the Trojan defense, piling up 34 digs in the upset of the Cougars as the team posted an incredible 103 digs. Daya Vestal was a wall at the net with eight blocks, while hammering down 13 kills as the sophomore standout continues her breakout season.
Power at the net continues to fuel Taylor's terrific season, ranking in the top 32 in the NAIA in kills per set (13.0), hitting percentage (.212), and blocks per set (2.17). Adding to that excellence, Taylor is the only team in the CL with more aces than errors at the service line.
No. 20 Taylor (16-7, 7-4 CL) battles against Grace (12-11, 5-6 CL) on Wednesday, October 15, in Winona Lake, with the match set to start at 7:00 pm.
