Taylor Continues to Receive Votes in Final NAIA Poll
NAIA Women's Volleyball Top 25
UPLAND, Ind. – The final poll before the NAIA National Tournament was released on Wednesday, with Taylor continuing to receive votes.
The Trojans remained just outside of the top 25, collecting the 28th-most points in the poll. Taylor split four matches since the last poll, defeating Saint Francis and Bethel, while dropping matches against No. 8 Indiana Wesleyan and RV Spring Arbor.
Taylor won four of its final five matches of the regular season, with the only defeat a thrilling five setter against the aforementioned Wildcats.
Freshman Ruth Anderson has broken out down the stretch, averaging 2.33 kills and 1.30 blocks per se since being inserted into the starting lineup the past eight matches. Anderson claimed the NAIA National defender of the Week award in the final week of the regular season after posting 20 blocks and 17 kills across a pair of matches.
The Crossroads League had six teams garner votes in the poll, showcasing the depth and difficulty of CL play throughout the season.
