Halterman Named CL Runner of the Week for Fourth Time

JACKSON, Mich. – Jaynie Halterman collected her fourth straight Crossroads League Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Monday honor following races in which the freshman has participated in.
Halterman won the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge by 14.3 seconds while simultaneously breaking Taylor's 5k school record by 21.6 seconds. The Thompson's Station, Tennessee, native crossed the finish line at 16:57.8 to best the field of 180 runners.
Taylor used Halterman's record performance to help set a team time record of its own at 1:28:07, or six seconds faster than the program's previous 5k record set at its National Championship-winning performance in 2022.
Halterman has now won all four collegiate races she has competed in, as she and No. 2 Taylor (72-1) gear up for the Crossroads League Championships on Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. at the TU Cross Country Farm.
