The sophomore broke out during the outdoor track season and earned NAIA All-American Honors in the 4x800-meter relay and competed in the 800-meters. The St. Louis Missouri native already picked up NAIA Scholar Athlete and Academic All-Crossroads League honors this year.
Mays collected the award with a perfect 4.00 GPA and earning her degree as a psychology major. Mays had an incredible year capped by a trio of NAIA All-American awards during the track seasons. The senior set the TU record in the 1,000-meters and finished second in the distance medley relay and the 1,000-meters in the indoor season before anchoring the 4x800-meter relay team which placed sixth.
Siefert was honored for the first time after earning a 3.74 GPA in her management and marketing classes. The junior made NAIA Nationals in the long jump in both track and field seasons, earning NAIA All-American honors in the outdoor season with a third-place finish. Siefert set the program record in the triple jump and was the Crossroads League Female Athlete of the meet for a second-consecutive season.
VanderWall has posted a 3.96 GPA in three years studying elementary education. VanderWall continued her terrific athletic career at Taylor with four NAIA All-American honors. The junior finished seventh at NAIA Nationals in cross country before securing a pair of All-American nods during the indoor season. VanderWall helped the distance medley relay team finish second and set a new program record and also finished on the podium in the Mile with another program record. The Petoskey, Michigan native capped her season with an appearance in the 1,500-meters before teaming up for a sixth-place finish in the 4x800-meter relay.
The 2025 Academic All-District women's track & field and cross country teams, selected by each institution's sports information department, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. To be considered for the award, student-athletes must hold a minimum 3.50 GPA, achieve at least sophomore academic status, and reach certain performance thresholds in their respective track events or cross-country races.
All five of Taylor's all-district honorees have advanced to the Academic All-America national ballot to be voted on by members of the CSC, with the women's results set to be announced on July 15.
