Trojans Retain Top Spot in NAIA Top 25
NAIA Women's Cross Country Top 25
UPLAND, Ind. – The NAIA released its latest NAIA Top 25 Poll on Thursday, in which the Trojans remained No. 1, as they have not slid from the top spot yet this season.
Taylor hosted the Ray Bullock Invite on October 10th and cruised to a team title with a time of 1:49:44, which beat the previous best team time at the course by two-and-a-half minutes. An impressive 24 points was over 40 points better than the fourth-ranked and tenth-ranked team in the NAIA to pace the competition.
Jaynie Halterman led the Trojans, setting a new course record by over a minute in a first-place finish at 20:38.0. Five more Trojans placed in the top 11 as the squad depth was on full display for the reigning NAIA runners-up.
Taylor (54-6) completes the regular season at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge on Saturday, October 25 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with the women set to begin at 11:00 am.
