NEW ORLEANS – The USTFCCCA Announced its 2025 NAIA Cross Country Regional Awards, with a pair of Trojans earning honors.
Head coach Quinn White was named the USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Women's Coach of the Year for the fourth consecutive season and sixth all-time during his 16-year tenure at Taylor since the award was introduced at the NAIA level in 2016.
Leading the Trojans to an 84-6 record throughout the season, White improved his career mark to 1,627-225 at TU. This season's squad finished ahead of every NAIA opponent it faced only being outrun by NCAA Division I schools in the Seminole Invite in October.
The Trojans collected four team titles throughout the season, including their 13th-straight CL Championship, as they ran the second-fastest 6k team-time in program history.
Jaynie Halterman repeated as the USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Women's Athlete of the Year after earning the award last season. The standout sophomore won all but one race this season, finishing fourth in the Seminole Invite behind a pair of athletes from LSU and one from Florida State.
The dynamic Thompson's Station, Tennessee native was named the Crossroads League Runner of the Week four times, the NAIA Runner of the week twice and the USTFCCCA NAIA Athlete of the Week once this season.
Halterman broke Taylor's and Indiana Wesleyan's course record this season and reset the NAIA 6k record, which she set at the NAIA National Championships a year ago, with a time of 20:04.7 at the Seminole Invite, which is the course the NAIA National Championships will be held at next week.
White, Halterman, and No. 1 Taylor hope to finish the season by collecting the red banner at the NAIA Women's Cross Country Championships on November 21, in Tallahassee, Florida.
