Bio

Adelyn Fairley joined the Taylor University Cross Country and Track Distance coaching staff as an assistant coach in Spring 2026, working alongside her husband, Head Cross Country Coach Mark Fairley. A former NCAA Division I athlete at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, Fairley is one of the most accomplished distance runners in program and conference history and brings elite competitive experience and championship-level insight to the Taylor program.

Fairley was a four-time Conference USA individual champion and earned eight All‑CUSA honors, highlighted by victories in the indoor 3K and 5K and the outdoor 10K. She also captured six ASUN individual championships and collected 10 All‑ASUN honors across cross country, indoor, and outdoor track during her collegiate career. Competing consistently at the NCAA Division I level, she qualified for multiple NCAA East Preliminary Round appearances and recorded nationally competitive performances, including sub‑16:00 5K times and standout 10K marks.

A proven team leader, Fairley served as her team’s No. 1 runner in cross country, earned all‑region recognition, and received numerous weekly honors from both the ASUN and CUSA. She also excelled academically, earning multiple USTFCCCA All‑Academic Team selections, conference academic honors, and recognition on the CUSA Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Prior to college, Fairley was a two‑time Foot Locker Cross Country Championships qualifier and a three‑time state champion.

Fairley earned her bachelor’s degree in zoo and wildlife biology and a master’s degree in visual communication design, reflecting her strong commitment to academic and professional excellence.
