Taylor Baseball Receives Record-14 NAIA Scholar-Athlete Awards
UPLAND, Ind. – The No. 9 Taylor baseball team recently hauled in a record-14 NAIA Scholar-Athletes, outdoing its 2024 squad by one academic honor.
Receiving recognition for the second time in their careers were Jake Boyer, Mason David, Sam Gladd, Ben Kennedy, Kaleb Kolpien, Drew Loy, Conner Miller and Fletcher Roemmich.
First-time Scholar-Athlete recipients included Nathan Frady, Brennan Frickel, Alec Hershberger, Matthew Roderer, Rylee Singleton and Luke Sutter.
To be eligible for NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or above on a 4.0 scale while having attended at least one full year at their current institution.
No. 9 Taylor looks to continue its record-setting season on the diamond as it gears up to host the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round from May 12-15 at Winterholter Field.
