Trojans Continue to Receive Votes in NAIA Top-25 Poll
UPLAND, Ind. – The NAIA announced its first Top-25 Poll of the 2025 regular season on Monday, with Taylor continuing to receive votes after its 2-1 start on the gridiron.
The Trojans collected 29 points in the new ratings, coming in with the 31st-highest point total in the poll. Those numbers marked a slight dip for TU from the preseason rankings, where Taylor collected 67 points and sat just one spot back of a Top-25 ranking.
Taylor has scored at least 42 points in each of its three outings to open the 2025 campaign, with its lone loss coming in overtime to Olivet Nazarene in the season opener. TU bounced back from that setback with a 17-point win at RV Saint Francis and a home win over Kentucky Christian.
The Trojan offense ranks near the top of the NAIA in a host of categories through the season's first three weeks. TU sits No. 3 with 13 rushing touchdowns, No. 6 with 277.0 rushing yards per game, No. 9 with 29.1 yards per kickoff return, No. 12 with 43.0 points per game and No. 20 with 423.7 total yards per game, while having scored 12 touchdowns in 15 trips to the red zone.
RV Taylor (2-1) will look to continue its win streak when it returns to action on September 27 at Judson (0-3) for a 2:00 pm start in Elgin, Illinois.
