TU Football Remains in Receiving Votes Portion of Poll
UPLAND, Ind. – The seventh NAIA Top-25 Football Poll of the regular season was announced on Monday, with Taylor adding to its point total following a record-setting, 63-0, win at Lawrence Tech to improve to 2-0 in MSFA Mideast League play.
The Trojans increased their point total in the poll by eight, garnering 28 points in the new ratings to hold steady with the 31st-highest point total in the ratings.
Taylor set its single-game record for total yardage in the 63-0 victory at LTU, piling up 651 total yards of offense in the blowout win. TU had set its previous high of 641 just four games prior in a 63-7 win at Judson, after the prior record of 630 had stood since a 68-0 win over Hanover in 1963.
The Trojans now rank No. 2 in the NAIA with 301.8 rushing yards per game, No. 2 with 36 rushing touchdowns, No. 7 with 45.9 points per game and No. 9 with 491.9 total yards of offense per game.
RV Taylor (5-3, 2-0 MSFA) will look to stay on track when it hosts No. 13 Indiana Wesleyan (6-2, 2-0 MSFA) on Saturday, November 1 at noon.
