KANSAS CITY – Taylor University's Danny Cawley, Tim Daniels and Devin Moore have been named to the NAIA Men's Soccer All-Mideast Region Second Team, as announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
Cawley, a senior forward from Manchester, England, led the Trojans in both goals (9) and assists (8) in 2014. Cawley's quickness and playmaking ability gave opposing defenses fits all season long while aiding in the effectiveness of the Taylor attack. Cawley was also named a First Team All-Crossroads League performer and contributed two scores, including the game-winner, in Taylor's 3-2 Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals win over Bethel.
Daniels is a senior midfielder from Wheaton, Illinois and attended Wheaton Academy. Daniels was second on the Taylor team in total points (22) on eight goals and six assists and earned Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week honors (Sep. 29 - Oct. 5) after recording a goal and an assist in consecutive wins over Marian and Goshen. Daniels also was named to both the All-Crossroads League First Team and the Capital One Academic All-America Second-Team in the College Division.
A holding central midfielder for the Trojans, Moore is from West Chicago, Illinois and attended Wheaton Academy. Moore served as a three-year captain under head coach Gary Ross and started in all four seasons. In 2014, Moore had one goal and one assist while being an integral asset for the Trojans from the middle of the field. Moore was named the Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Year and joined Cawley and Daniels on the All-Crossroads League First Team.
