Bio
Xavier Bargesser enters his first season at Taylor after joining the women's basketball staff prior to the 2026-27 school year.
Bargesser comes to Upland after spending the past two seasons as a graduate assistant and head junior varsity coach at Crossroads League opponent Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where he graduated with his MBA in organizational management. With the Cougars, he handled recruiting, scouting, scheduling, player development and practice planning and execution, while gaining familiarity with the conference and its competition.
A four-year collegiate player, Bargesser began his career with two seasons at NCAA Division III Alma (Mich.) before finishing at NCAA Division II Northwood (Mich.), where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in sport management. He served as a team captain in both of his seasons at Northwood, where he appeared in 49 career games and made 36 starts while averaging better than 20 minutes per contest.
Bargesser hails from a family of athletes. The Grass Lake, Michigan native has one sister, Lexus, who played basketball at Indiana University and Colorado State University, and one brother, Brennen, who ran track at Bethel University.
