Quartet of Trojans Pick Up All-League Honors

JACKSON, Mich. – A trio of Trojans, Claire Massey, Kiana Siefert, and Lauren Collins were named First-Team All-Crossroads League, while Audrey Grimm was named Honorable Mention All-Crossroads League as the CL announced its 2022 Women's Soccer All-League awards Monday afternoon.
Massey earned her second All-Crossroads award after being named Honorable Mention All-Crossroads League a season ago. Massey was a force on defense, helping the Trojans post eight shutouts. Massey regularly made her way forward down the wing to fire in dangerous crosses. Massey collected seven assists, which is tied for the fifth most assists by a player in program history. The seven assists led the Trojans and placed her eight in the Crossroads League. The junior defender also nabbed two goals, including a goal from 35 yards out to begin the scoring this season for Taylor. The Loveland, Ohio, product also tied a program record for most assists in a match against Georgetown when she provided an assist on all three goals on the road.
A freshman sensation, Siefert, has shone from the moment she stepped onto the pitch, scoring goals in the first three contests and six of the first seven matches. Siefert scored nine goals which led Taylor and is the third most by a freshman in program history. The Noblesville, Ind. native also led the team and ranked fourth in the Crossroads League in shots with 69.
Collins had a breakout sophomore campaign, scoring eight goals and providing three assists from her midfield position. The eight goals were second-best on the team, while the three assists placed her tied for third on the Trojans. The Dayton, Ohio, native went from a single start a season ago to starting all but one match in her second year in purple and gold. Collins' best stretch of play resulted in six goals in seven matches during the middle of the season. The sophomore midfielder also notched a team-high three match-winners throughout the season.
Grimm was named Honorable Mention All-Crossroads League in her sophomore year. Grimm upped her game after an impressive freshman season, collecting six goals and one assist while starting 14 matches on the wing for the purple and gold. Grimm has racked up ten goals in two seasons at TU playing on the wing.
The Trojans are set to compete in the first round of the NAIA National Championship Tournament in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on Thursday, November 17th against Columbia (Mo.) (16-3-1).
