Massey Garners CL Defensive Player of the Week Award

JACKSON, Mich. – Taylor University's Campbell Massey has been selected the Crossroads League Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, announced Monday by league headquarters.

Massey helped anchor a pair of shutout victories for Taylor, while also scoring twice to pick up four points on the week. The junior defender opened the season with a goal in TU's 6-0 win at Indiana Tech and then provided the game-winner in a 1-0 result against Georgetown.

This marks Massey's second career player of the week award after winning her first weekly accolade last season. She's now sitting with a combined five goals and 12 points across her 37 career appearances for the Trojans.

The conference office also announced Grace's Cassidy Felger as the CL Offensive Player of the Week after she racked up 10 points in a pair of wins.

TU returns to action Wednesday against Oakland City with a 4 p.m. tilt at Turner Stadium.
