JACKSON, Mich. – Taylor University's Brianna Rawlings has been named the Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week, announced Monday by conference headquarters.
Rawlings, who earned her second career weekly honor, helped RV Taylor extend its perfect 5-0 start with wins in goal against Trinity Christian and No. 18 Campbellsville. The senior goalkeeper had seven saves in the two matches, allowing just one goal in over 162 minutes of work.
Rawlings is the second Trojan to earn the conference accolade this season, with teammate Campbell Massey voted the CL Defensive Player of the Week on August 25.
TU resumes non-conference action Wednesday at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, before returning to Turner Stadium on Friday night against Cornerstone.
