Bouma Named CL Hitter of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS – After some of her best volleyball of the season Taylor sophomore Rachel Bouma has been named the Crossroads League Hitter of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
Bouma collected 27 kills and committed just two hitting errors in three matches for the Trojans last week while hitting .447 for the week. The sophomore from Grand Rapids, Mich., has been the Trojans most consistent hitter in recent weeks with four double-digit kill performances in her last seven matches. The 5-11 outside hitter also registered two solo and five assisted blocks to help the Trojans to a pair of Crossroads League victories last week.
A member of the Crossroads League All-Freshmen team last season, this is the first time Bouma has received a weekly honor from the league.
Bouma and the Trojans will host the first round of the Crossroads League tournament on Saturday at 5:00 pm.
