AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League selected Amanda Adams as the CL Attacker of the Week on Monday, after the senior outside hitter led the Trojans to three-consecutive victories, including a pair of league wins.
Adams slammed 49 kills, while averaging 4.1 kills per set in the trio of triumphs. The senior posted a pair of double-doubles, offering 14 digs against Mount Vernon Nazarene on Tuesday and 10 digs against RV Saint Francis on Saturday.
The Heath, Ohio native closed the weekend ranked No. 1 in the Crossroads League and No. 2 in the NAIA in kills with 169 on the season. Adams added 16 kills in the three-set sweep against Indiana Tech on Wednesday, boasting a crisp .517 hitting percentage.
The CL Player-of-the-Week honor is the third for Adams in her four-year career and gives Taylor its second award of the fall season, with Sarah Harden of the women's cross country team also garnering attention from the league offices earlier this season.
Adams and the Trojans (5-6, 4-5 CL) will return to play on Wednesday at Grace (6-3, 6-3 CL) at 7:00 pm.
