Women's Cross Country Receives USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS - The Taylor University women's cross country program earned individual and team academic honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association recently.
Taylor was one of 60 women's cross country programs in the NAIA to receive the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award for posting a combined team grade-point average of 3.0 or better. The Trojans turned in a 3.64 GPA to rank 16th in the NAIA.
The USTFCCCA also handed out individual All-Academic awards to anyone who competed in the 2020 NAIA Cross Country National Championships and compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better.
Taylor had all seven ladies who competed at nationals receive the award, as Giovanna Domene, Mollie Gamble, Katelynn Hanback, Sarah Harden, Corinne O'Leary, Livy Schroder and Ahna VanderWall were named USTFCCCA All-Academic recipients.
Taylor's men's and women's cross country teams received 13 individual honors between the two programs.
In addition to being honored as an All-Academic team and having seven student-athletes with USTFCCCA All-Academic awards, Taylor also grabbed their eighth-straight Crossroads League Championship and turned in a program-best third-place finish at the 2020 NAIA National Championships.
