TU Continues Season at George Glass Invitational
UPLAND, Ind. – Event wins by Carter Newman, Bryce Noble, Wade Jones and Josh Forbes highlighted the second meet of the indoor season for Taylor, as it hosted the George Glass Classic on Saturday.
Forbes led the way, clearing 4.85 meters in the pole vault to win the event and automatically qualify for NAIA Nationals.
Jones scored a win in the 200-meters with a time of 22.48, with Noble claiming victory in the 1,000 with a mark of 2:31.94 and Newman leading Roman Hathaway and Orlando Chatwell in the top-five of the 400-meters with a winning time of 52.32.
Ethan Morgan and Lyndon Miller finished runner-up in their respective events, with Morgan finishing the 800-meters in 2:01.70 and Miller clearing 1.86 meters in the high jump.
Other top performances included Kyle Sweeney taking third in the 5,000-meters and Jordan Burden ending third in the mile, with Cambel Brown ending fourth.
Taylor will return to action on February 7 at the Indiana Wesleyan Midwest Classic.
