TU Women’s Golf Adds Five NAIA Scholar-Athlete Awards
UPLAND, Ind. – The Taylor University women's golf program added five academic honors recently, with Ellie Beavins, Hope Haarer, Ellie Karst, Maya Kuszak and Shayne Lim each being named as NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
To be eligible for NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or above on a 4.0 scale, while having attended their current institution for at least one full year.
In addition to their outstanding work in the classroom, Beavins, Haarer, Karst, Kuszak and Lim helped Taylor win its fifth Crossroads League Championship in the past eight years and will lead TU at the NAIA National Championships on May 13-16 at Ypsilanti, Michigan.
