CL Names Schuitema as Women’s Golfer of the Week

UPLAND, Ind. – Eleanor Schuitema was named the Crossroads League Women's Golfer of the Week on Monday, following her individual title at the CL Fall Preview on October 13 and 14.

Schuitema opened with a 76, before surging to the lead with a second-round score of 72 and a third-round tally of 74. Schuitema finished the tournament at 222 after shooting two-over par in the final 36 holes to take a share of the lead. Schuitema finished the third round in a two-way tie atop the leaderboard, but secured the medalist honors by winning the playoff.

The talented sophomore boasts a team-best scoring average of 75.6 this fall and posted TU's highest finish in three of the team's four fall tournaments.

The honor is the second of the year for Schuitema and the third of her Taylor career.

Schuitema's award is the second for the Taylor women's golf team this year and the 22nd weekly honor for Taylor Athletics during the 2025-2026 year.

Schuitema and No. 14 Taylor will resume play in the spring.
