Women's Soccer Places Four on All-Crossroads League Teams

AVON, Ohio – As announced by the Crossroads League on Monday, four Trojans were recognized as 2020-2021 All-Crossroads League standouts.
Morgan Orme and Linli Tu highlighted the list, both garnering First-Team All-Crossroads League honors, while Erin Teevans and Hannah Dempsey were selected as All-Crossroads League Honorable Mention.
The group helped lead the Trojans to seven wins in the 2020 campaign, including a 4-1-1 mark at Turner Stadium.
Orme put together the finest season of her Taylor career at the forward position, recording career-highs in goals (seven), assists (eight), points (22), shots (33), and shots on goal (22). Her eight assists ranked tied for third in the Crossroads League, while her total points ranked tied for ninth. Additionally, the Waynesville, Ohio native earned Crossroads League Offensive Player-of-the-Week honors in late October after recording two goals, five assists, and nine points in a pair of victories over Bethel.
Tu collected her second straight First-Team selection in her second year at Taylor, co-leading the team in goals (seven) while also collecting three assists, 17 points, and 27 shots on goals, all of which were career-bests. Furthermore, the midfielder led the Trojans with 42 total shots. The Jingdezhen, China native recorded her best performance of the season against Huntington back on September 16, notching two goals and an assist for five points.
Teevans was selected to her third All-Crossroads team in three years, garnering Honorable Mention honors for the second straight season. The junior forward finished the season with six goals, three assists, and 15 points, while ranking second on the Trojans with 39 shots. Teevans was excellent in the month of September, recording five goals, one assist, and nine points in Taylor's first three contests against IU Kokomo, Huntington, and Mount Vernon Nazarene.
Dempsey earned her first All-Crossroads team selection, serving as one of the Trojans' top defenders throughout the course of the season. The Highlands Ranch, Colorado native led all Trojan defenders in goals (three) and points (seven) and was named the Crossroads League Defensive Player-of-the-Week in October for her stout, two-way performances against Bethel. In the two contests, she helped limit the Pilots to just one goal, while also aiding the offensive attack, scoring twice in a historic 12-0 victory.
The All-Crossroads League honors are voted on by the 10 head coaches from around the league and announced by the Crossroad League office.
