GOSHEN, Ind. – Eliza Luttrell scored 53 seconds into the match and 19th-ranked Taylor never looked back, rolling to a 4-0 Crossroads League victory over Goshen on Wednesday night at Ingold Complex.
The Trojans (10-1-0, 2-1-0 CL) scored three times in the opening 35 minutes to put the match away early. Kiana Siefert set up Luttrell's opener with a cross to the right post before Lydia Johnson doubled the lead in the 23rd minute off Sydney Reddy's through ball from the left.
Campbell Massey made it 3-0 in the 35th minute, heading home a corner kick from Maegen Hill. Siefert added the final goal in the 65th minute with an assist from Luttrell, as both finished with three points on the night.
Luttrell added to her team-leading totals with nine goals and seven assists on the season.
TU dominated possession throughout, outshooting Goshen 38-7 and holding an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks. The Trojans put 14 shots on target compared to just three for the Maple Leafs (1-6-4, 0-4-0 CL).
Goshen goalkeeper Aina Lopez made 10 saves after a busy night between the posts. The Trojans split time in goal between Brianna Rawlings (two saves in the first half) and Marisa Reinhard (one save in the second).
Morgan Fletemeyer led with seven shots, while Luttrell added eight attempts. The Trojans' attack consistently broke through Goshen's defense, with Luttrell hitting the post in the 24th minute during the first-half onslaught.
