Men's Track & Field Finishes Seventh at Little State
MARION, Ind. – Taylor finished the two-day Little State Championships with a seventh-place team finish on Saturday.
Senior sprinter Brandan Wilchcombe won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.24. He also added a time of 14.98 to provisionally qualify for the NAIA National Championship in the 110-meter hurdles en route to a second place finish in the event.
Matt Hall finished second in the 10,000-meter with a time of 31:34.63, moving into fifth on the TU all-time list in the event. Ethan Evans and Jonathan Taylor also ran well in the 10,000-meter finishing seventh and eighth, respectively.
Gage Minniear also ran well for TU in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 56.51 for a fourth place finish. Minniear added a solid sixth place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.56.
Zach Warner added a seventh place finish in the 3,000-meter hurdles with a time of 9:56.88.
Stephen Cho clocked a personal-best time of 15:27.39 to finish eighth in the 5,000-meter run.
Kenny Higgins collected a third place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 49.98 meters and added a seventh place finish in the shot put with a heave of 44.33 meters.
The Trojans finished seventh with 56 points. Taylor will return to action next Saturday at home in the Taylor Invitational.
