Men’s Track Takes Third at Crossroads League Indoor Championships

MARION, Ind. – The Taylor men's track and field team moved up two spots on day two of the 2026 Crossroads League Championships to finish in third place in the team standings.
Nathan Burns, Ryan Hanak and Luke Harber headlined the afternoon for the Trojans by sweeping the top-three spots and recording 24 team points in the 3,000-meters. Burns led the way with a CL Championships meet record time of 8:20.08 for the second-best NAIA time in the event this season. Hanak and Harber followed Burns' NAIA-A standard performance with NAIA-B standard marks of 8:31.13 and 8:31.20.
Taylor took two more top-three finishes in the mile, with Joel Mumaw and Jared Stayte ending in second and third. Mumaw provisionally qualified for NAIA Nationals with a NAIA-B standard time of 4:14.28, with Stayte just missing the mark at 4:15.32.
Other top showings from the day included Wade Jones finishing second in the 200-meters, Bryce Noble taking fifth in the 1,000-meters and Spencer Stout claiming fifth in the 60-meter hurdles.
Taylor finished the meet in third place with 85.00 points, trailing only Marian and Indiana Wesleyan in the team standings.
TU's national qualifiers will now turn their focus to the 2026 NAIA Indoor National Championships in Gainesville, Florida from March 5 through 7.
